With "pervasive" technologies, optimisation can be deployed at the heart of buildings and building applications. The HOMES programme is using these technologies to innovate.
  • Very low-cost communication technologies (wireless and power line carrier).
  • Multi-physics and autonomous sensors
Measure several variables (temperature, humidity, CO2, etc.)
Battery-less and wireless
  • Advanced algorithms: integrate all dimensions for optimising energy & comfort: multiple applications, envelope and use contexts, etc.

Beyond the search for optimised performance levels, achieving simple implementation and interaction with occupants is another major challenge for which new information technologies are opening doors.
